He blasted a two-run home run (his 34th of the season) in the 5th inning and tripled scoring two baserunners in the 8th inning. Philadelphia banged out 14 on the night. The victory went to Francis(15-1) who went the distance allowing 1 run. Bronson Arroyo(10-14) took the loss. Philadelphia scored big getting 5 runs off him in 4 and 2/3 innings. When questioned about his counterpart after the game, Arroyo was lavish in his praise, 'It was obvious very early on that we were going to be in for a long night.
