In a thrilling finish the Philadelphia Phranks won in dramatic fashion coming
back to beat the Sunshine State Stalkers by the count of 8 to
7.

Philadelphia scored the decisive runs in a big 9th inning scoring 3 runs
utilizing 3 base hits. After an out was recorded, J.J. Hardy began the rally
when he hit a single. Jayson Werth stepped into the batter's box and he
stroked a base-hit. David Wright then doubled scoring two baserunners.
Brandon Phillips was up next and he would hit into a fielders choice giving
Philadelphia the victory and sending the 43,307 home-town fans home happy.
Sunshine State had 13 hits in the game while Philadelphia had 9, but
Philadelphia had the more timely hits.

Francisco Cordero(1-0) went 1 inning allowing no runs for the win. Jason
Isringhausen(0-1) took the loss in relief. He was unable to retire a batter
and surrendered 2 hits and no walks.

Cordero and Wright were really whooping it up in the clubhouse after the great
come from behind victory. As Charlie Manual noted, 'A win like this one can
do wonders for a team's attitude.' Everyone shares in the joy - the fans, the
players - even you guys - it's better than winning by a dozen runs!'
