It was a good day for Atlanta thanks to Ramirez. He doubled bringing in two baserunners in the 3rd inning and smacked a three-run homer (his 3rd of the season) in the 4th inning. Atlanta banged out 13 hits on the afternoon. The victory was credited to Webb(2-0) who went the distance, allowing 1 run. The losing pitcher was Braden Looper(1-1). Vazquez(1-2) contributed a very nicely pitched game. He was stingy on the mound, allowing just 4 hits and 2 walks in 9 innings and surrendered 2 'round-trippers'. Oakland managed 9 hits in their victory. Johan Santana(1-1) was the losing pitcher. He was touched for 7 hits and 2 walks in 3 and 2/3 innings. Vazquez was obviously very pleased with his performance in the aftermath of the game, 'It was just one of those games where everything worked.
