The Pinehurst PinOaks pitching coach might be looking for a new job soon. His
team allowed 13 runs while Francisco Liriano(1-0), with relief help from
Rafael Perez, allowed Pinehurst 4 runs in a laugher.

Nick Markakis had a big evening at the plate. He singled in the 1st inning,
doubled knocking in a run in the 5th inning and blasted a two-run home run
(his 1st of the season) in the 7th inning. Offensively, Minnesota was a
juggernaut. They scored in 6 separate innings.

Dustin McGowan(0-1) suffered the loss. He was knocked around pretty good,
giving up 7 runs in 5 innings.

Josh Hamilton hit one over the fence and had 3 RBI as the Sea Isle Seagulls
topped the Colorado Scrub NL 2 by a score of 10 to 6 at Coors Field.

Sea Isle scored 5 runs in the top of the 7th inning with the help of 6 hits.
The big moment was provided by John Baker who silenced the stadium when he
doubled which was good for two runs. Due to a poorly pitched ballgame,
scoring in 5 different innings was still not enough for Colorado to come away
with the victory.

Cole Hamels(1-0) allowed 6 runs in 8 and 2/3 innings, and picked up the
victory. Kerry Wood gained credit for his 1st save. Eddie Guardado(1-2) was
the losing pitcher in relief.

40's in 12 innings by the score of 10 to 5 at Comerica Park.

Both teams were tied at 5 runs apiece after nine innings. Toronto was
victorious in the 12th inning. The highlight belonged to Cust who deflated
the spirits of the home town crowd when he depressed the partisan hometown
fans with a grand slam home run (his 3rd of the season). Toronto totaled 11
hits on the night.

The victory went to Ron Mahay(1-1) who went 4 innings, allowing no runs. Dan
