Philadelphia scored what proved to be the only run of the contest in the bottom of the 2nd inning. That early scoring held up. Both teams finished the game with 7 hits. Correia got help from Trevor Hoffman who earned his 1st save. Garland was hit with the loss. He surrendered 1 run and 7 hits in 8 innings.
