The Boston Stranglers defeated the Minnesota SnowBirds by a score of 10 to 6 at Metrodome. Nick Markakis had a big day at the plate. He belted a three-run homer in the 5th inning and lashed a single plating two runs in the 6th inning. For the game Boston out-hit Minnesota 15 to 10. The win went to Jon Lester(2-0) who allowed 6 runs in 6 and 2/3 innings. Lester got help from David Aardsma who was credited with his 5th save. Andrew Bailey(0-1) was given the loss in relief. He was knocked around by Boston, allowing 9 hits and 4 walks in 3 and 1/3 innings. Molina enjoyed a fine day at the plate. He slapped a base-hit in the 6th inning, laced a single in the 8th inning and launched a Grand Slam homerun in the 9th inning. Wall St finished with 11 hits in the victory. Happ(2-1) allowed 2 runs on the game. Clayton Kershaw(1-2) absorbed the loss. Wall St scored big getting 6 runs off him in 4 and 1/3 innings.
