John Smoltz dominated striking out 12 Boston batters as the Wall St
Millionaires topped the floundering Boston Stranglers by a score of 6 to 0 at
Wrigley Field.

Smoltz(6-11) pitched one of his finer games as he simply was too much for the
Boston batters. He didn't allow much, just 4 hits and 1 walk in 9 innings
reducing his ERA from 4.23 to 3.96. Wall St had only 6 hits for the night.

Jeremy Guthrie(8-10) was hit with the loss. He allowed 3 hits and 1 walk in
2/3 of an inning. Terry Francona was upset after the game. 'I don't like to
complain but did you see that umpires strike zone?', he said. 'Maybe they
ought to start calling the strike zone the way it's printed in the rule
book.'

John Buck connected with a 'big fly' and had 5 RBI as the Cherry Hill Maulers
won at US Cellular Field in dramatic fashion over the Sunshine State
Stalkers, the final score, 10 to 9.

The game was won by Cherry Hill with a run in the bottom of the 9th inning.
After an out was recorded, Jacoby Ellsbury drew a walk. Derrick Turnbow then
bounced one in the dirt for a wild pitch. Corey Hart then drew a walk.
Casey Kotchman came up and he lined a single giving Cherry Hill the victory
and sending the 42,676 home-town fans home happy. A wild and woolly affair,
this game saw the lead change 5 times.

Joe Nathan(3-7) got credit for the victory, pitching 1 inning and allowing 2
runs. Turnbow(1-4) absorbed the loss in relief.
