Josh Hamilton cracked a homer and had 5 RBI and Ben Sheets tossed a complete
game at Yankee Stadium where the Sea Isle SeaGulls beat the Yardley Oaks 10
to 5.

Hamilton was a seemingly constant irritant to the hometown fans as he provided
much of the offense for the visitors. He blasted a solo shot (his 6th of the
season) in the 2nd inning, lashed a single bringing in two baserunners in the
3rd inning and doubled which was good for two runs in the 8th inning. Both
teams finished the game with 12 hits.

Sheets(12-3) lasted until the end allowing 5 runs for the win. Jered
Weaver*(7-5) was given the loss. He struggled with his control issuing 5
walks in 2 and 2/3 innings.

The Sea Isle ballclub's record now stands at a division leading 70-29. With
the loss Yardley now has a record of 56-43.

Jack Wilson cracked 2 homeruns and Dustin McGowan struck out 11 batters at US
Cellular Field as the Sunshine State Stalkers, running on all cylinders,
ripped the Cherry Hill Maulers by a large 13 to 2 margin.

Wilson was unconscious out there. While Cherry Hill pitching was serving
softballs up there for him to hit, the Cherry Hill fans were serving up some
hardball barbs when he entered the batter's box. But he just used it as fuel
for the fire. He depressed the partisan hometown fans with a grand slam home
run in the 8th inning and caught a hold of a bad pitch for a Grand Slam
homerun (his 14th of the season) in the 9th inning. Sunshine State managed
15 in their victory.

The victory was credited to McGowan(8-10) who went the distance, allowing 2
runs. Scott Baker(6-3) was the loser. Mike Scioscia was impressed with
McGowan and his 11 strikeouts. 'It's tough to generate runs if you can't
make contact with the ball.'
