Curt Schilling came through with a solid 8 innings at Citizen's Bank Park as
the Philadelphia Phranks beat the Washington Scrub NL1 by the count of 1 to
0.

Schilling(8-5) was virtually untouchable. He didn't allow much, just 3 hits
and 2 walks in 8 innings improving his ERA from 4.11 to 3.80. Washington had
a chance to come back in the 9th but they came up short.

Takashi Saito earned the save, his 24th. Bronson Arroyo(10-10) was the loser.
He was a hard-luck loser as he did not allow an earned run in his 7 and 1/3
innings of work.

Frank Robinson was in a sour mood after the game. 'Even you guys up in the
press box know why we lost this game. We made too many mistakes.'

Aaron Harang racked up an impressive total of 10 strikeouts as the Sunshine
State Stalkers defeated the Colorado Scrub NL2 by a score of 6 to 5 at
Dolphins Stadium.

Harang(10-10) gave a fine effort for Sunshine State. He went 9 innings
allowing 9 hits and 1 walk. Colorado threatened in the 9th but their rally
came up short.

Jason Marquis(8-12) was given the loss. Joe Girardi was asked about the
performance of Harang, 'He had his good stuff out there tonight. The fans
really get into it when the strikeouts start mounting up - and that seems to
give him even more adrenalin.'

The Wall St Millionaires pitching staff gave the fans an afternoon that
they'll never forget by tossing a combined no-hitter! The tension started to
build around the 6th inning. By the 9th inning the crowd was electrified.
After the 3rd inning, neither team was able to score.

Oliver Perez(7-11) picked up the victory, allowing no runs in 7 innings. Mike
Mussina(8-8) was given the loss. 'You probably have a better chance of
winning the lottery than this happening,' said Perez who got credit for the
win, 'I don't expect it to sink in for awhile.' he said. 'You know, it's hard
to say who was better, the starter or the bullpen!'

Bot 5th: Orlando Hudson robbed Eric Byrnes of a base hit.
Top 6th: Juan Pierre robbed Dmitri Young of a Homerun!

Tim Hudson carried a no-hitter into the 6th inning as the Atlanta
Prohibitioners beat the Binghamton Brawlers by a score of 2 to
0.

Hudson(10-9) pitched one of his finer games as he simply was too much for the
Binghamton batters. He gave up just 4 hits and 1 walk in 9 innings reducing
his ERA from 3.83 to 3.62. The right-handed Hudson lost his no-hit bid when
Jose Reyes singled with two outs in the 6th inning. Neither team managed to
score after the 2nd inning.

Ian Snell(8-13) was charged with the loss. He surrendered 2 runs and 4 hits
in 7 innings. 'All of my pitches were working today,' Hudson said. 'I felt
really good out there, and heck, I think I could have gone longer.'
