Ryan Howard rocketed 2 homeruns and had 3 RBI as the red-hot Pinehurst Pin
Oaks beat the Wall St Millionaires by a score of 6 to 5.

Howard provided much of the offense. He stroked a single in the 2nd inning,
bombed a two-run dinger in the 6th inning and smashed a solo-shot out of the
park (his 34th of the season) in the 8th inning. Pinehurst ended up with 11
hits for the game while Wall St had 7.

Jamey Wright(1-0) allowed 1 run in 4 and 1/3 innings, and picked up the
victory. J.J. Putz recorded his 32nd save. Doug Brocail(0-1) was the loser
in relief.

Pinehurst continued on their recent roll, their winning streak now reaching 7
games and counting. 'I'm glad to get the win', Wright said. 'We've got some
good momentum going now.'
