The spectacular Cherry Hill Maulers nipped the Philadelphia Phranks in 10 innings 4 to 3 at US Cellular Field in a hard fought contest. The game was deadlocked at 3 after nine full innings. Cherry Hill came out the victor in the 10th inning. After two outs Casey Blake laced a base-knock. Corey Hart stepped up next and he lashed a single. Casey Kotchman then reached on an error making Cherry Hill the winners and sending the 44,083 fans home happy. Cherry Hill out-hit Philadelphia for the game, 11 hits to 6. The winning pitcher was Hideki Okajima(2-2) who allowed no runs in 2 innings. Takashi Saito(1-3) took the loss in relief. He pitched 2/3 of an inning allowing 2 hits and no walks. The winning run, and the only run, was scored by Toronto in the bottom of the 3rd inning. That early scoring was all that Lohse needed. Oakland had a chance in the 9th but they came up short. Chris Ray got the save, his 4th.
