Geovany Soto cracked 2 homeruns and had 4 RBI at Wrigley Field where the
Colorado Scrub NL2 beat the Wall St Millionaires by the score of 11 to
6.

Soto was unconscious out there. While Wall St pitching was serving softballs
up there for him to hit, the Wall St fans were serving up some hardball barbs
when he entered the batter's box. But he just used it as fuel for the fire.
He laced a one-base hit in the 1st inning, doubled plating two runs in the
3rd inning, ripped a solo home run in the 5th inning and cracked a solo
homerun (his 4th of the season) in the 9th inning. Colorado out-hit Wall St
for the game, 12 hits to 9.

The victory went to Julian Tavarez(4-8) who went 5 innings, allowing 6 runs.
Chad Qualls recorded the save, his 3rd. The loss was charged to Oliver
Perez(7-12). He was unable to control the Colorado offense and allowed 5
hits and 3 walks in 2 and 1/3 innings.

'Some days it just all comes together, and this was one of them' Soto said.
'I've been seeing the ball pretty well lately.'

had 3 base hits and 3 RBI as the Minnesota SnowBirds outscored the Cherry

Rodriguez(9-9) pitched one of his finer games as he simply was too much for
the Cherry Hill batters. He surrendered only 2 hits and 2 walks in 9 innings
reducing his ERA from 5.00 to 4.68. Minnesota finished with 10 hits in the
victory.

Carlos Zambrano(11-7) was the losing pitcher. 'We didn't have a whole lot of
chances tonight,' Mike Scioscia said. 'Rodriguez just was too much for our
guys.'

Aaron Harang racked up an impressive total of 14 strikeouts as the Sunshine
State Stalkers outscored the pathetic Oakland Scrub AL2 6 to 5.

Kelly Johnson had a good evening at the plate. He doubled in the 1st inning,
lifted one out of the park for a two run home run (his 19th of the season) in
the 2nd inning and tripled in the 4th inning. The pitchers took over after
the 4th inning as neither team was able to score again.

The victory went to Harang(11-10) who went the distance allowing 5 runs. Chad
Gaudin(4-16) was tagged with the loss. He got hit pretty hard, allowing 12
hits and 3 walks in 7 and 2/3 innings.

Harang was pleased with his performance. He noted, 'I had good zip on my
pitches. Just as important, my location was right on. The fans really got
into the game too - that always helps me. Now, if I can only do that again
in my next outing.'

Felix Hernandez had a strong outing as the Sea Isle SeaGulls defeated the
Washington Scrub NL1 by the score of 2 to 0 at RFK STADIUM.

Washington was unable to recover after Sea Isle went ahead in the 3rd inning
scoring a single run on 2 hits. The early run support proved sufficient for
Hernandez(7-5) and Sea Isle. That was all the run support Hernandez
required. The pitchers took over after the 4th inning as neither team was
able to score again.

Billy Wagner recorded his 17th save. Bronson Arroyo(10-11) took the loss. He
allowed 2 runs and 8 hits in 6 innings.
