Aaron Harang racked up an impressive total of 14 strikeouts as the Sunshine State Stalkers outscored the pathetic Oakland Scrub AL2 6 to 5. Kelly Johnson had a good evening at the plate. He doubled in the 1st inning, lifted one out of the park for a two run home run (his 19th of the season) in the 2nd inning and tripled in the 4th inning. The pitchers took over after the 4th inning as neither team was able to score again. The victory went to Harang(11-10) who went the distance allowing 5 runs. Chad Gaudin(4-16) was tagged with the loss. He got hit pretty hard, allowing 12 hits and 3 walks in 7 and 2/3 innings. Harang was pleased with his performance. He noted, 'I had good zip on my pitches. Just as important, my location was right on. The fans really got into the game too - that always helps me. Now, if I can only do that again in my next outing.' Washington was unable to recover after Sea Isle went ahead in the 3rd inning scoring a single run on 2 hits. The early run support proved sufficient for Hernandez(7-5) and Sea Isle. That was all the run support Hernandez required. The pitchers took over after the 4th inning as neither team was able to score again. Billy Wagner recorded his 17th save. Bronson Arroyo(10-11) took the loss. He allowed 2 runs and 8 hits in 6 innings.
