Detroit erupted with the game winning runs in the 9th inning scoring 4 runners on 2 hits. The critical plate appearance was by Ramon Castro who made the crowd come alive when he launched a rocket-shot out of the park for a Grand Slam homerun (his 6th of the season). Detroit managed 8 in their victory. Zack Greinke(5-4) went 1 and 1/3 innings allowing no runs for the victory. Francisco Rodriguez(1-7) suffered the loss in relief. He pitched 2/3 of an inning giving up 2 hits and 2 walks. Greinke and Anderson were really whooping it up in the clubhouse after the great come from behind victory. As Jim Leyland noted, 'A win like this one can do wonders for a team's attitude.' Everyone shares in the joy - the fans, the players - even you guys - it's better than winning by a dozen runs!'
