Randy Winn had 2 base hits as the Binghamton Brawlers rallied impressively to
win in dramatic style over Wall St Millionaires, 4 to 3.

Binghamton erupted with the game winning runs in the 9th inning scoring 3 runs
utilizing 3 base hits. Gabe Kapler opened up the inning nicely when he drew
a walk. Jayson Werth stepped up to the plate and he tripled. Winn then
laced a base-knock. Yadier Molina stepped in and he doubled. Two outs later
Alfredo Amezaga came up and he was walked intentionally. Garrett Atkins
followed, but he was set down on strikes. Binghamton ended up with 11 hits
for the game while Wall St had 6.

Scott Downs(2-1) picked up the victory, allowing 2 runs in 1 and 2/3 innings.
Downs got help from Joe Nelson who earned his 1st save. Matt Capps(1-1) took
the loss in relief.

Jerry Manuel was feeling mighty fine as he answered questions in his office
after the game, 'Now that was one fine ending! Did you see how the crowd just
sat there in silence after the winning run scored? Here we are celebrating
wildly, and the stadium is cloaked in virtual silence. Weird. but GREAT!'

for the game, Hamels offered, 'The fan's really got into it. It is fun to
see them tally up the strikeout totals up there in the stands. Fortunately,
I kept them busy this afternoon - of course, it would be all for naught
without the 'W'.'
