The winning pitcher was Ryan Speier(2-1) who allowed no runs in 2 and 2/3 innings. Matt Lindstrom recorded his 3rd save. The loss was charged to Matt Capps(2-2) in relief. His ERA increased from 4.15 to 7.45 as he allowed 4 runs in 1 inning. Clint Hurdle was feeling mighty fine as he answered questions in his office after the game, 'Now that was one fine ending!
