He had the crowd cheering his every move. He laced a base-hit in the 3rd inning, cleared the fences for a two-run home run in the 6th inning and rifled a three-run blast (his 8th of the season) in the 8th inning. Yardley banged out 17 hits on the afternoon. Floyd(2-2) allowed 1 run on the game. The loss was charged to C.C. Sabathia(1-2). He was unable to control the Yardley offense and allowed 6 hits and 3 walks in 2 and 2/3 innings. Floyd was obviously very pleased with his performance in the aftermath of the game, 'It was just one of those games where everything worked. My arm felt great, heck, I could have pitched another two or three innings. I only hope that I can do it again next time out!' Randy Wolf(1-4) suffered the loss. He gave up 7 runs in 4 and 1/3 innings of work.
