The slumping Binghamton Brawlers pitching coach might be looking for a new job
soon. His team allowed 10 runs while James Shields(3-3), with relief help
from Brian Shouse, shut-down Binghamton in a laugher.

In the top of the 3rd inning Wall St went on top for good scoring one runner
using 3 hits. The early run support proved sufficient for Shields and Wall
St. That was all the run support Shields required. For the game Wall St
out-hit Binghamton 12 to 6.

Jorge Campillo(3-2) was the loser. He allowed Wall St 4 runs in 3 innings of
work.

In a thrilling finish the Toronto Scrub AL 1 won in dramatic fashion coming
back to beat the Detroit 40's by the count of 7 to 6.

Toronto had the game winning rally in the 9th inning with 2 runs on 2 hits.
After two were out Lastings Milledge got things rolling when he smacked a
single. Taylor Teagarden came next and he popped a two-run clout over the
fence (his 7th of the season) resulting in a mighty exciting win for Toronto
and the 40,533 home town fans in attendance. This was a game of many highs
and lows for the home town fans, as the lead kept changing - 5 times in all.

The winning pitcher was Wil Ledezma(3-2) who allowed 2 runs in 2 and 1/3
innings. Jonathan Papelbon(1-2) took the loss in relief. He was unable to
retire a batter giving up 1 hit and no walks.

Cito Gaston was in great spirits in his post-game interview. Yet, when asked
about his feelings after the thrilling comeback victory, he volunteered,
'I'll tell you this much - I know how my counterpart, Jim Leyland, feels
right now - and it's not very good. It's terrible when you come up on the
short end of one of these!'

It was a great finish at Nationals Park as the Washington Scrub NL 1 pulled
off a dramatic comeback beating the Sunshine State Stalkers by the count of
12 to 11.

Washington erupted with the game winning runs in the 9th inning with 3 runs.
After two were out Cliff Floyd began things off when he smashed a solo-shot
out of the park (his 4th of the season). Daniel Murphy came to the plate and
drew a walk. Taveras got a good lead and stole second. Kevin Kouzmanoff
stepped in and he reached on an error. Scott Hairston came to the plate and
drew a walk to load the bases. Mike Rivera did his part to keep things going
and drew a walk. Doug Mientkiewicz was next and he drew a walk. Despite
scoring in 5 separate innings, Sunshine State could not get the win.

The victory was credited to Duaner Sanchez(1-0) who went 2/3 of an inning,
allowing no runs. John Grabow(0-1) was charged with the loss in relief. He
surrendered no hits and 1 walk without retiring a batter.

'Now that is what I call fun! I just love baseball, especially games like
this, of course,' Manny Acta offered. 'Everyone at the stadium had a great
time - did you see the fans go wild there at the end?!'
