One run was the difference at Nationals Park as the blistering-hot Sunshine
State Stalkers defeated the Washington Scrub NL 1 4 to 3.

The Washington fans didn't appreciate the big day Ryan Ludwick had. He
slapped a single scoring a run in the 1st inning, doubled in the 3rd inning
and lost the ball over the fence for three runs (his 7th of the season) in
the 8th inning. Washington threatened in the 9th but Sunshine State was able
to put down the rally.

The winning pitcher was David Bush(3-1) who allowed 3 runs in 8 innings. Bush
got relief help from Carlos Marmol who gained credit for his 11th save.
Francisco Cordero(1-3) was given the loss in relief.
