Minnesota drew first blood jumping out to an early lead in the first inning plating an isolated run on 2 hits. Philadelphia was out-hit by Minnesota, 11 hits to 7. Jered Weaver*(1-3) allowed 2 runs in 6 and 2/3 innings, and picked up the victory. Weaver* got help from Mariano Rivera who was credited with his 6th save. Ubaldo Jimenez(4-2) was tagged with the loss.
