The key at-bat was by John Buck who deflated the crowd as he depressed the partisan hometown fans with a grand slam home run (his 2nd of the season). Colorado banged out 12 hits on the afternoon. Sunshine State went ahead for good in the 5th inning when they scored 2 runs on 2 hits. The crucial at-bat was provided by Ryan Theriot who brought the crowd to their feet when he lined a base-hit plating two runs. Sunshine State ended up with 14 hits for the game while Atlanta had 9. Hiroki Kuroda(5-3) went 7 and 1/3 innings allowing 4 runs for the victory. Kuroda got help from John Grabow who earned his 1st save. Derek Lowe(2-4) was charged with the loss. He was knocked around by Sunshine State, allowing 8 hits and 2 walks in 5 and 2/3 innings.
