Glendon Rusch came through with a solid 5 innings and Jim Thome connected with
a 'big fly' and had 2 RBI at Coors Field as the Colorado Scrub NL 2 beat the
Toronto Scrub AL 1 6 to 5.

Colorado had the game winning rally in the 8th inning scoring 3 runs utilizing
4 base hits. Justin Upton kicked off the action when he smacked a single.
John Buck stepped into the batter's box and he grounded into a double play.
Kosuke Fukudome then drew a walk. Jose Bautista followed and he cleared the
fences for a two-run home run (his 3rd of the season). Jose Lopez stepped
into the box and stroked a base-hit. Manny Parra then let one slip out of
his hand for a wild pitch. Thome stepped into the batter's box and he
doubled. Edwin Encarnacion then drew a walk. Parra then threw a high and
inside pitch that got by the catcher; it was ruled a passed ball. Luke Scott
came to the plate and was walked intentionally to load the bases. Toronto
made it exciting in the 9th, but they were unable to push the needed runs
across.

Jamey Wright(2-2) got credit for the victory, pitching 1 and 2/3 innings and
allowing no runs. Parra(0-5) ended up with the loss in relief.

Clint Hurdle was just happy to get a win, 'We've had such a bad streak of
games -- boy, it's great to get the monkey off our back. Now maybe we can
relax a little and play the kind of baseball of which we are capable.'
