In a good matchup it was the Atlanta Prohibitioners 5, the Pinehurst PinOaks 3
at Turner Field.
 
Chad Gaudin(2-0) came on to close the door tight in relief.  He did not allow
a hit or a walk in his 1 inning.  Atlanta rapped out 7 hits for the night.
 
Brian Fuentes recorded the save, his 17th.  Manny Delcarmen(2-1) was tagged
with the loss in relief.  He gave up 2 hits and 1 walk in 2/3 of an inning.

Right fielder Jermaine Dye homered and had 2 RBI as the Yardley Oaks defeated
the Sunshine State Stalkers by a score of 5 to 1 at Dolphins
Stadium.
 
Yardley wasted no time and took the lead in the first inning plating an
isolated run.  Yardley had 10 hits for the game and Sunshine State had 4.
 
Ted Lilly(5-4) went 6 innings allowing 1 run for the victory. Scott Baker(4-6)
was the loser.  He was touched for 3 homeruns in his 5 and 1/3 innings of
work.  
 
The Yardley ballclub's record now stands at 31-22.  With this loss, Sunshine
State has a 4-6 record of late, 27-29 overall.

Edinson Volquez completed the game without help from the bullpen at Wrigley
Field as the Wall St Millionaires beat the Minnesota SnowBirds 7 to 3.
 
Jimmy Rollins provided much of the offense.  He tripled bringing in two
baserunners in the 4th inning and blasted a solo shot (his 5th of the season)
in the 6th inning.  Wall St had a total of 12 hits for the game.
 
Volquez(4-4) got the victory, allowing 3 runs for the game. Josh Beckett(0-1)
ended up with the loss.  He allowed Wall St 7 runs in 6 and 2/3 innings of
work.  
 
With this win, Wall St has a 31-22 record.  They have been 7-3 lately.
Minnesota has a record of 35-20 after the loss.

First baseman Aubrey Huff smacked 2 homeruns as the Cherry Hill Maulers topped
the Binghamton Brawlers by a score of 9 to 5 at Shea Stadium.
 
Cherry Hill took the lead for good in the top of the 6th inning plating an
isolated run.  After two were out Aramis Ramirez cracked a solo homerun (his
16th of the season).  Raul Ibanez came next and he drew a walk.  Vernon Wells
got his turn next, but he was a strikeout victim.  Cherry Hill out-hit
Binghamton for the game, 12 hits to 9.  
 
C.C. Sabathia(6-4) allowed 5 runs in 6 innings, and picked up the victory.
Grant Balfour was credited with his 2nd save.  The loss was charged to Joe
Nelson(0-2) in relief.  He surrendered 2 runs and 1 hit in 2 and 1/3 innings.

Right fielder Vladimir Guerrero rocketed 2 homeruns and had 3 RBI as the
Philadelphia Phranks defeated the Detroit 40's 9 to 6 at Comerica Park.
 
The Detroit fans didn't appreciate the big day Guerrero had.  He lined a
one-base hit in the 4th inning, delivered a solo blast in the 6th inning and
blasted a two-run home run (his 15th of the season) in the 7th inning.
Philadelphia finished with 12 hits while Detroit ended up with 8.  
 
Ubaldo Jimenez(7-4) got the win allowing 3 runs in 5 and 2/3 innings. Jimenez
got help from Sergio Romo who was credited with his 1st save.  Gil Meche(5-4)
was the loser.  His ERA increased from 4.38 to 5.02 as he allowed 9 runs in 6
and 2/3 innings.

The Sea Isle Seagulls tallied 6 runs in the 2nd inning and defeated the Boston
Stranglers by a score of 7 to 4 at PNC Park.
 
Jake Peavy(2-5) pitched well for Sea Isle in their victory.  He allowed 6 hits
and 4 walks in 8 innings.  Sea Isle had 11 hits overall, while Boston had 7.
 
Kerry Wood got the save, his 16th.  Daisuke Matsuzaka(4-3) was the losing
pitcher.  He allowed 4 hits and 4 walks in 1 and 1/3 innings.
