Stranglers beat the Sunshine State Stalkers by the count of 10 to 3.
 
The game started off with Boston taking the lead in the first when they
tallied 3 runs on 3 hits.  The critical plate appearance was by Alex Rios who
made the home-town crowd a happy bunch when he doubled plating two runs.
Boston totaled 8 hits on the night.  
 
The victory was credited to Jon Lester(8-6) who went 5 and 1/3 innings,
allowing 3 runs. J.P. Howell recorded the save, his 2nd.  Scott Baker(8-10)
was charged with the loss.  He was touched for 3 homeruns in his 4 and 2/3
innings of work.

Albert Pujols hit 2 doubles and John Danks allowed just 2 hits as the
impressive Wall St Millionaires outscored the Cherry Hill Maulers 9 to
1.
 
Wall St started with a bang, jumping out to an early lead in their half of the
first when they scored 2 runs on 3 hits.  The early run support proved
sufficient for Danks(10-3) and Wall St.  That was all the run support Danks
required.  Wall St managed 12 hits in their victory.  
 
Mike Mussina(9-8) was the losing pitcher.  He was knocked around pretty good,
giving up 8 runs in 4 and 2/3 innings.

In a close game the Yardley Oaks got by the Binghamton Brawlers by the score
of 4 to 2.
 
Joba Chamberlain(8-6) was solid in relief, and he got credit for the win.  He
didn't give up much, just 2 hits and no walks in 2 innings.  Yardley rapped
out 7 hits for the night.  
 
Chamberlain got help from Joe Nathan who was credited with his 26th save.
Mike Pelfrey(6-8) was tagged with the loss.  He surrendered 4 runs and 7 hits
in 8 innings.

Evan Longoria smashed 2 homeruns and Adam Wainwright completed the game
without help from the bullpen as the Pinehurst PinOaks crushed the league
door-mat Colorado Scrub NL 2 15 to 2.
 
Longoria enjoyed a great evening at the plate.  He cracked a two-run shot in
the 1st inning, laced a base-knock in the 6th inning, slapped a single in the
8th inning and launched a rocket-shot out of the park for a Grand Slam

Third baseman Kevin Kouzmanoff blasted a homerun and had 2 RBI as the
Washington Scrub NL 1 defeated the Atlanta Prohibitioners by the score of 6
to 4 at Nationals Park.
 
In the bottom of the 7th inning Washington went on top for good with 2 runs.
After an out was recorded, Corey Hart got things rolling when he drew a walk.
After another out, Kouzmanoff came to the plate and blasted a two-run home
run (his 11th of the season).  Atlanta was set down quietly in the 9th.
 
Francisco Cordero(6-7) allowed no runs in 2 and 2/3 innings, and picked up the
victory. Derek Lowe(6-11) took the loss.  He allowed a few too many
baserunners giving up 9 hits and 2 walks in 6 and 2/3 innings.

Ryan Dempster(8-5) had a fairly solid outing.  He was reached for 7 hits and 3
walks in 6 and 1/3 innings.  Kerry Wood earned the save with a perfect ninth,
his 36th save.  
 
Chien-Ming Wang(1-3) was the loser.  He was hit hard and gave up 10 hits and 5
walks in 5 and 1/3 innings.  This win by Sea Isle continues their recent hot

Detroit 40's by a score of 1 to 0.
 
Lincecum(12-4) was virtually untouchable.  He surrendered only 2 hits and 1
walk in 7 innings.  Detroit threatened in the 9th but their rally came up
short.  
 
Takashi Saito was credited with his 1st save.  Gil Meche(9-8) was the loser.
He gave up 1 run and 7 hits in 6 innings.  'Everything felt great' Lincecum
said. 'I had a good fastball, I felt I could throw it by everybody today.'

In a good matchup it was the Toronto Scrub AL 1 8, the struggling Oakland
Scrub AL 2 6 in 10 innings at McAfee Coliseum.
 
The game was deadlocked at 6 after nine full innings.  Toronto won it in the
10th inning.  Jack Cust led off and keyed the rally when he banged out a
single, and an error was also committed.  Paul Konerko stepped up to the
plate and he popped a two-run clout over the fence (his 17th of the season).
Two outs later Jed Lowrie stepped up to the plate and he slapped a one-base
hit.  Kevin Millar followed, but he was set down on strikes.  Toronto and
Oakland each finished the night with 11 hits.  
 
Jon Rauch(6-6) was the winner allowing 1 run in 2 innings. George
Sherrill(2-9) took the loss in relief.  He gave up 4 hits and 1 walk in 2
innings.
