Kevin Youkilis had 2 base hits and 3 RBI at Dolphins Stadium as the Sunshine
State Stalkers won in their last at-bat beating the ice-cold Oakland Scrub AL
2 by the count of 8 to 6.

Sunshine State erupted with the game winning runs in the 9th inning with 2
runs on 2 hits. After an out was recorded, Ryan Theriot got things rolling
when he lined a one-base hit. Theriot swiped second base. Chris Iannetta
then blasted a two-run home run (his 12th of the season) resulting in an
exciting win for Sunshine State and a raucous post-game celebration by the
home town fans. Sunshine State ended up with 16 hits for the game while
Oakland had 7.

The victory was credited to Kevin Gregg(1-2) who went 1 inning, allowing 1
run. George Sherrill(2-4) ended up with the loss in relief. He was not very
effective, surrendering 5 runs in 2 and 1/3 innings.

First baseman Mike Jacobs rocketed 3 homeruns and had 5 RBI in a losing cause
for Oakland.

Stephen Drew connected with a 'big fly' and had 2 RBI at Citizen's Bank Park
as the Philadelphia Phranks beat the Sea Isle Seagulls 7 to 4.

Philadelphia had the game winning rally in the bottom of the 8th inning with 3
runs using 4 hits. Vladimir Guerrero led off and started the attack as he
banged out a single. Drew followed, but he was set down on strikes. Ryan
Doumit then slapped a single. Shane Victorino was a strikeout victim, unable
to help out. Joey Votto came to the plate and doubled. Ryan Braun kept the
inning going and doubled. David Ortiz stepped up next and he drew a walk.
David Wright dug into the batters box next, but he struck out. Brad Lidge
was perfect in the ninth giving him his 18th save on the season.

Hong-Chih Kuo(3-3) allowed no runs in 2/3 of an inning, and picked up the
victory. Jonathan Broxton(2-1) ended up with the loss in relief. The
Philadelphia ballclub's record now stands at 41-34. With an impressive
recent record of 8-2, Sea Isle hopes this will only be an isolated loss -
followed by another nice run.
