Drew followed, but he was set down on strikes. Ryan Doumit then slapped a single. Shane Victorino was a strikeout victim, unable to help out. Joey Votto came to the plate and doubled. Ryan Braun kept the inning going and doubled. David Ortiz stepped up next and he drew a walk. David Wright dug into the batters box next, but he struck out. Brad Lidge was perfect in the ninth giving him his 18th save on the season. Hong-Chih Kuo(3-3) allowed no runs in 2/3 of an inning, and picked up the victory. Jonathan Broxton(2-1) ended up with the loss in relief. The Philadelphia ballclub's record now stands at 41-34. With an impressive recent record of 8-2, Sea Isle hopes this will only be an isolated loss - followed by another nice run. Gavin Floyd(9-3) was the losing pitcher. He pitched 8 innings and surrendered 7 hits and 1 walk.
