Johnny Damon was the sparkplug when he took matters into his own hands and smashed a bases-empty 'big-fly' (his 8th of the season). Two outs later Jones came to the plate and hit a single. Josh Hamilton then doubled. J.J. Hardy stepped in and he lined a base-hit. Adam Laroche was the next batter, but he struck out. The early run support proved sufficient for Ben Sheets(5-4) and Sea Isle. That was all the run support Sheets required. Kerry Wood was perfect in relief and got the save, his 26th. Tim Wakefield(1-8) was the loser. With this win, Sea Isle has a 49-29 record. They have been 6-4 lately. With the loss, Colorado has a record of 3-7 lately, 23-61, worst in the division overall.
