WEB GEMS- Top 1st: Akinori Iwamura robbed Jim Thome of a base hit.

Luke Scott smacked 2 homeruns and had 4 RBI and Tim Wakefield was able to
finish what he started and was credited with a complete game as the Colorado
Scrub NL 2 man-handled the Wall St Millionaires - the final score was 15 to
3.

Scott was a source of great heartache for the Wall St faithful all evening.
He just kept pounding out hits! He slapped a one-base hit in the 2nd inning,
hit a bases-empty home run in the 3rd inning, doubled plating a run in the
6th inning and lifted one out of the park for a two run home run (his 15th of
the season) in the 9th inning. Colorado provided plenty of action in the 3rd
inning when they had 4 runs on 4 hits. The Colorado offense poured it on,
scoring in 7 of the 9 innings.

The win was credited to Wakefield(2-11) who went the whole way allowing 3
runs. Todd Wellemeyer(11-7) was the loser. He was touched for 3 homeruns in
his 2 and 2/3 innings of work.

'I had a big day, but there's a lot of credit to go around' Scott said. 'We
played well together as a team.'
