Josh Hamilton cracked 2 homeruns and had 5 RBI and Jake Peavy blanked
Binghamton allowing just 3 hits at PNC Park as the powerful Sea Isle Seagulls
embarrassed the Binghamton Brawlers by the lopsided score of 11 to
0.

Hamilton enjoyed a big evening at the plate. He tripled in the 5th inning,
clubbed a three-run home run in the 5th inning and cleared the fences for a
two-run home run (his 20th of the season) in the 7th inning. Sea Isle
finished with 11 hits in the victory.

Peavy(12-7) was credited with the shutout. John Lannan(13-8) was tagged with
the loss. Sea Isle scored big getting 7 runs off him in 4 and 2/3 innings.

Peavy was obviously very pleased with his performance in the aftermath of the
game, 'It was just one of those games where everything worked. My arm felt
great, heck, I could have pitched another two or three innings. I only hope
that I can do it again next time out!'

and keyed the rally when he banged out a single. After an out was recorded,
Brian McCann came to the plate and drew a walk. Blake then belted a
three-run homer (his 27th of the season). Atlanta ended up with 13 hits for
the game while Washington had 8.
