McCann really lit it up for Atlanta. The Washington fans let him have it for what he did to their boys. He lifted one out of the park for a two run home run in the 3rd inning, doubled with all three runners coming home in the 5th inning, stroked a one-base hit in the 7th inning and ripped a solo home run (his 24th of the season) in the 9th inning. Atlanta lit up the scoreboard in the 5th inning which saw them plate 9 runs on 6 hits. Atlanta out-hit Washington for the game, 15 hits to 10. The victory was credited to Randy Johnson(14-6) who went 7 and 2/3 innings, allowing 4 runs. Tim Redding(4-14) ended up with the loss. He served up 3 homeruns in his 4 and 1/3 innings. Haren(15-8) put on a good performance. He didn't allow much, just 7 hits and 1 walk in 9 innings. After the 4th inning, neither team was able to score. Zach Duke(4-21) absorbed the loss. He was touched for 9 hits and 4 walks in 3 and 1/3 innings. The winning ways continue for Detroit. They now have a record of 9-1 in recent days. Colorado can't seem to snap out of their recent 'funk'. Now they have a miserable 1-9 record over the last couple weeks.
