36,112 fans watched an exciting game at PNC Park. The Yardley Oaks topped the
Sea Isle Seagulls by the slimmest of margins, 3 to 2.

Sea Isle lost it in the 3rd inning when Yardley did all their damage when they
tallied 3 runs on 3 hits. That early run support was enough for Rich
Harden(8-2) and Yardley. Sea Isle had a chance in the 9th but they came up
short.

Matt Thornton was credited with his 2nd save. The losing pitcher was Cole
Hamels(14-7). He was pinned with the loss despite not allowing an earned run
in his 7 and 2/3 innings of work.

'I was a little good, a little bad and a little ugly.' said Harden, 'I was
just giving us a chance to win.'

WEB GEMS- Bot 6th: Matt Holliday robbed Manny Ramirez of an extra base hit.

C.C. Sabathia struck out 10 batters and Miguel Cabrera went deep at US
Cellular Field as the Cherry Hill Maulers beat the Atlanta Prohibitioners 3
to 2.

Sabathia(21-9) had a strong outing. He gave up just 6 hits and no walks in 8
innings. Atlanta made it exciting in the 9th, but they were unable to push
the needed runs across.

Sabathia got relief help from Brian Bruney who gained credit for his 1st save.
Brandon Webb(12-11) was the losing pitcher. He pitched 8 innings giving up
only 5 hits and 1 walk.

Ozzie Guillen was asked about the performance of Sabathia, 'He had his good
stuff out there tonight. The fans really get into it when the strikeouts
start mounting up - and that seems to give him even more adrenalin.'
