J.D. Drew touched them all and had 4 RBI as the Minnesota SnowBirds outscored
the Cherry Hill Maulers 5 to 3.
 
Drew was a seemingly constant irritant to the hometown fans as he provided
much of the offense for the visitors.  He doubled which scored a run in the
1st inning, laced a single in the 3rd inning and clubbed a three-run home run
(his 2nd of the season) in the 7th inning.  Mariano Rivera was perfect in
relief and gained credit for his 3rd save.  
 
The victory was credited to Matt Garza(2-0) who went 6 innings, allowing 2
runs. The loss was charged to Brad Ziegler(0-1) in relief.  Minnesota scored
big getting 3 runs off him in 2 innings.  
 
'I was a little good, a little bad and a little ugly.' said Garza, 'I was just
giving us a chance to win.'

Ivan Rodriguez hit a grand slam and Sergio Romo shut Sunshine State down at
Citizen's Bank Park where the Philadelphia Phranks beat the Sunshine State
Stalkers by the score of 13 to 12.
 
Rodriguez enjoyed a fine evening at the plate.  He smacked a single in the 2nd
inning, brought the hometown folks to their feet with a Grand Slammer (his
1st of the season) in the 3rd inning and slapped a one-base hit in the 7th
inning.  It was roller coaster of a game as the lead change hands 5 times.
 
The win went to Russ Springer(1-1) who allowed 3 runs in 1 and 2/3 innings.
Springer was helped out by Romo who recorded his 3rd save.  Steven Shell(2-1)
was the losing pitcher in relief.  He surrendered 3 runs and 5 hits in 3
innings.  
 
Brian Giles had 4 hits and 4 RBI for Sunshine State but his effort was wasted
in the loss.
