Carlos Pena ripped 2 homeruns and had 3 RBI as the Minnesota SnowBirds
defeated the Cherry Hill Maulers 8 to 2 at Metrodome.
 
Pena enjoyed a fine evening at the plate.  He popped a two-run clout over the
fence in the 1st inning, laced a base-knock in the 3rd inning and hit a
bases-empty home run (his 2nd of the season) in the 7th inning.  Minnesota
ended up with 13 hits for the game while Cherry Hill had 10.  
 
Cliff Lee(3-1) got the win allowing 2 runs in 7 innings. The losing pitcher
was Roy Oswalt(1-1).  He served up 3 homeruns in his 7 innings.

Hong-Chih Kuo took a no-hitter into the 10th inning at Dolphins Stadium where
the Sunshine State Stalkers beat the Philadelphia Phranks in 10 innings 1 to
0.
 
The score was a scoreless tie after nine.  Sunshine State came out on top in
the 10th inning.  Milton Bradley smacked a single.  Chris Dickerson was next
to the plate, but was promptly struck out.  Brian Giles then doubled.  Ryan
Ludwick was up next and he was walked intentionally to load the bases.  Kevin
Youkilis struck out, unable to help the rally.  Adam Dunn kept things alive
and was hit by a pitch giving Sunshine State the victory and sending the
41,552 home-town fans home happy.  Sunshine State out-hit Philadelphia for
the game, 6 hits to 2.  
 
Kevin Gregg(2-0) got credit for the victory, pitching 1/3 of an inning and
allowing no runs.  The left-handed Kuo had his no-hit bid broken up by Ryan
Braun who singled with nobody out in the 10th inning.  Tim Lincecum(2-1) was
the loser.  He struck out 15 batters in 9 innings despite losing the game.
