Manny Ramirez had 2 base hits and Roy Halladay pitched a 2 hit shutout as the
Cherry Hill Maulers defeated the Minnesota SnowBirds by a score of 4 to 0 at
US Cellular Field.
 
Halladay(3-0) was indeed brilliant as he hand-cuffed the Minnesota offense.
He didn't allow much, just 2 hits and 2 walks in 9 innings.  Halladay chalked
up 10 strikeouts lowering his ERA from 0.90 to 0.62.  Cherry Hill finished
with 8 hits in the victory.  
 
Cliff Lee(3-2) was given the loss.  'Halladay just dominated us' losing
pitcher Lee said.  'Hopefully we can get to him the next time around'

Philadelphia Phranks broke the deadlock in their last at bats, pulling out a
2 to 1 win over the Sunshine State Stalkers and sending their hometown fans
home smiling.
 
The game was decided in the bottom of the 9th inning.  Ryan Braun lined a
base-hit.  Prince Fielder next to the plate and he reached on an error.
David Wright was the next batter, but he struck out.  Joey Votto followed and
he ripped a base-knock giving Philadelphia the win and sending the home town
fans into a frenzy.  Philadelphia finished with just 6 hits in the victory.
 
The winning pitcher was Chad Billingsley(3-1) who allowed no runs in 1 inning.
Kevin Gregg(2-2) suffered the loss in relief.  He surrendered 2 hits and no
walks in 1 inning.
