Joey Votto touched them all and had 3 RBI at US Cellular Field where the
Philadelphia Phranks beat the Cherry Hill Maulers 6 to 1.
In the top of the 3rd inning Philadelphia went on top for good with 2 runs
utilizing 2 base hits. Ivan Rodriguez led off and started the rally when he
laced a base-knock. Two outs later Votto stepped in and he bombed a two-run
dinger (his 1st of the season). Philadelphia had 14 hits for the game and
Cherry Hill had 4.
Sergio Romo(1-0) allowed no runs in 1 and 2/3 innings, and picked up the
victory. Roy Oswalt(1-2) was given the loss. He allowed 6 runs and 12 hits
in 7 and 1/3 innings.
