Jair Jurrjens reeled off a total of 10 strikeouts as the Philadelphia Phranks
beat the Cherry Hill Maulers by a score of 6 to 0.
Jurrjens(2-0) had a strong outing. He was stingy on the mound, allowing just
5 hits and 3 walks in 7 and 1/3 innings lowering his ERA from 0.66 to 0.43.
For the game Philadelphia out-hit Cherry Hill 10 to 5.
Roy Halladay(3-1) was given the loss. He allowed 7 hits and 2 walks in 6 and
1/3 innings. Jurrjens was jubilant in the hometown clubhouse, 'It was a lot
of fun out there. The fans gave me a lot of support as did my teammates. We
got the victory and I'll sure take 10 strikeouts anytime!'
