Scott Feldman(0-1) took the loss. He surrendered 6 hits and 4 walks in 5 and 1/3 innings. Ron Gardenhire was upset after the game. 'I don't like to complain but did you see that umpires strike zone?', he said. 'Maybe they ought to start calling the strike zone the way it's printed in the rule book.' First baseman Carlos Pena smacked 2 homeruns and had 5 RBI at US Cellular Field as the Cherry Hill Maulers beat the Sea Isle Seagulls 8 to 6. Pena enjoyed a great evening at the plate. Every time he came up in the latter innings, the crowd was on their feet cheering. He smashed a bases-empty 'big-fly' in the 2nd inning, doubled knocking in a run in the 5th inning and belted a three-run homer in the 8th inning. Cherry Hill had a total of 10 hits for the game. The win was credited to Daniel Bard(1-0) who went 1 inning allowing no runs. Bard was helped out by Heath Bell who recorded his 2nd save. Jonathan Broxton(0-1) was charged with the loss in relief. He allowed 3 runs and 2 hits without retiring a batter. 'Pena led the way - we just jumped on his back and let him take us,' Bard said. 'I'm glad I don't have to face him. I'm glad he's on my team.'
