Jimenez(16-6) dominated Baltimore hitters. He didn't allow much, just 1 hit and 4 walks in 9 innings. Sunshine State finished with just 5 hits in the victory. Clayton Richard(3-18) suffered the loss. He allowed 5 runs and 3 hits in 5 and 1/3 innings. 'He came out with good stuff,' Edwin Rodriguez said about Jimenez. 'He threw the ball good from the first pitch on.' Colorado erupted with the game winning runs in the bottom of the 8th inning scoring 5 runners on 4 hits. The big moment was provided by Burrell who excited the crowd when he launched a three-run homer. Colorado rapped out 11 hits for the afternoon. The victory was credited to Oswalt(19-4) who went the distance, allowing 4 runs. Brandon League(3-2) was given the loss in relief. The critical plate appearance was by Wieters who came through for the home fans when he stroked a single bringing in two baserunners. For the game Yardley out-hit Sea Isle 10 to 5. Phil Hughes(7-6) got credit for the victory, pitching 7 and 1/3 innings and allowing 1 run. Neftali Feliz earned his 22nd save. Mike Pelfrey(10-9) took the loss. He allowed 10 hits and 4 walks in 6 and 2/3 innings. Yardley extended their winning streak to 8 games. Dallas Braden(17-4) pitched well for Wall St in their victory. He was reached for 5 hits and 2 walks in 5 and 1/3 innings. Both teams finished the game with 9 hits. Chris Perez gained credit for his 22nd save. Trevor Cahill(12-11) was the loser. He was touched for 3 homeruns in his 7 innings of work. Washington came through with the game-winning runs in the 8th inning when they came up with 4 runs on 4 hits. Washington had a total of 10 hits for the game. The win went to Floyd(6-17) who allowed 3 runs in the game. Burke Badenhop(0-7) was tagged with the loss in relief. He surrendered 2 runs and 3 hits in 1/3 of an inning.

Oakland found themselves trailing quickly as the Atlanta bats came through in the first inning plating an isolated run utilizing 2 base hits. Anibal Sanchez(13-9) got relief help from Tyler Clippard who was excellent in relief and gained credit for his 1st save. Jason Hammel(5-17) was hit with the loss. He surrendered 9 hits and 3 walks in 9 innings. Atlanta continued their winnings ways improving their record to 66-66. They are 8-2 in their last ten games. Oakland continued their losing ways and their record is now 36-97. They are 1-9 in their last ten games. Detroit took the lead off Fausto Carmona in the first inning plating 3 runs on 3 hits. After an out was recorded, Dustin Pedroia got things going when he was hit by a pitch. One out later, Bill Hall came to the plate and blasted a two-run home run. Andruw Jones then drew a walk. John Buck stepped in and he delivered a single. Billy Butler came up to bat and doubled. That was all Jered Weaver(17-8) needed. Minnesota was out-hit by Detroit, 11 hits to 6. Phil Coke recorded the save, his 4th. The loss was charged to Carmona(12-12). The Detroit ballclub's record now stands at 74-58. With this loss, Minnesota has a 3-7 record of late, 70-62 overall. Both teams were tied at 8 runs apiece after nine innings. Cherry Hill won it in the 13th inning. After an out was recorded, Miguel Cabrera hit a bases-empty home run giving Cherry Hill the victory and sending the 37,887 home-town fans home happy. Cherry Hill won despite being out-hit by Philadelphia 13 hits to 10. J.J. Putz(2-1) allowed no runs in 1 inning, and picked up the victory. Sean Burnett(1-2) absorbed the loss in relief.
