Baltimore was unable to recover after Colorado went ahead in the 4th inning scoring 2 runners on 2 hits. Colorado rapped out 10 hits for the night. The winning pitcher was Garland(13-11) who allowed 3 runs for the game. Justin Masterson(6-17) took the loss. He was unable to control the Colorado offense and allowed 8 hits and 3 walks in 5 and 1/3 innings. TORONTO AT CINCINNATI Argonauts....... 0 4 0 0 0 0 0 0 1 - 5 9 0 Blue Bombers.... 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 - 0 11 1 Win:Fister(9-10) Loss:Talbot(6-22) Homeruns- E.Longoria(13th) Doug Fister(9-10), with relief help from Mariano Rivera, handcuffed the Cincinnati Blue Bombers batters at Great American Bpk in an evening game. The Toronto Argonauts scored 5 runs for the win. Fister delivered a fine performance for Toronto. He was reached for 11 hits and no walks in 8 and 1/3 innings lowering his ERA to 4.55. Toronto banged out 9 hits on the night. Mitch Talbot(6-22) ended up with the loss. With this win, Toronto has a 76-68 record. They have been 3-7 lately. Still in a bad slump, with this loss, Cincinnati is 2-8 lately and 37-107, worst in the division on the year. Washington had the winning rally in the bottom of the 9th inning scoring 3 runs. Ian Stewart started the inning off right when he drew a walk. Adam Lind got his chance to keep things going, but he went down on strikes. Ty Wigginton then drew a walk. Juan Rivera followed and he lofted a three-run 'big-fly' making Washington victorious to the delight of the the home town crowd. Washington managed 12 hits in their victory. D.J. Carrasco(1-0) got the win allowing no runs in 1 and 1/3 innings. Brian Wilson(2-5) absorbed the loss in relief. 'Now there is a lesson in perseverance for you,' Rivera noted. 'It was looking pretty dim there for a while, but we just kept plugging away and it really paid off in spades! And it was great to see the crowd go crazy there at the end!' Bill Hall had a big day against Atlanta. He ripped a base-knock in the 2nd inning and quieted the crowd by clouting a Grand Slam in the 6th inning. Detroit totaled 11 hits on the night. The victory went to Jeremy Guthrie(14-11) who went 8 innings, allowing 5 runs. R.A. Dickey(8-9) was charged with the loss. He was hit hard and gave up 10 hits and 4 walks in 5 and 2/3 innings. Wth the win Detroit now has a record of 78-66. With the loss, Atlanta has a record of 4-6 lately, 71-73 overall. The final score was the Oakland Roughriders 6, the slumping Minnesota Snow Birds 5 in 14 innings. The game was deadlocked at 4 after nine full innings. Oakland won the game in the 14th inning. Jason Bay smashed a bases-empty 'big-fly' resulting in an exciting win for Oakland and a wild post-game celebration by the home town fans. It was roller coaster of a game as the lead change hands 5 times. The win went to Logan Ondrusek(3-0) who allowed no runs in 3 innings. Brian Matusz(1-3) was the losing pitcher in relief. He was unable to retire a batter and surrendered 1 hit and no walks.

Ordonez led the offense for Yardley. He popped a two-run clout over the fence in the 1st inning and doubled in the 8th inning. The Yardley offense man-handled the Boston pitching staff as they scored in 7 of the 9 innings. It was the 3rd shutout of the year for Hernandez(16-10). Jon Lester(10-8) was given the loss. He allowed 4 runs and 3 hits in 1 and 2/3 innings.
