COLORADO AT CINCINNATI Eskimos......... 0 1 0 2 1 0 0 0 1 - 5 11 2 Blue Bombers.... 1 0 0 0 1 0 0 0 0 - 2 6 0 Win:Wainwright(20-8) Loss:Wolf(3-16) Homeruns- C.Young(22nd), D.Ross(2nd), D.McDonald(9th) Adam Wainwright whiffed 10 batters and David Ross touched them all and had 3 RBI as the very talented Colorado Eskimos bested the Cincinnati Blue Bombers 5 to 2 at Great American Bpk. Wainwright(20-8) put on a good performance. He surrendered only 6 hits and no walks in 9 innings. Colorado managed 11 hits in their victory. Randy Wolf(3-16) was charged with the loss. Wainwright didn't realize how many strikeouts he was racking up. When told he had 10 he was obviously surprised, 'No kidding? Sunshine State had 1 run cross the plate in the bottom of the 3rd inning. After two were out Troy Tulowitzki blasted a solo shot. Manny Ramirez came next and he doubled. Jay Bruce was a strikeout victim, unable to help out. That scoring would be all that was needed. Neither team managed to score after the 3rd inning. Kuroda got relief help from Jonny Venters who gained credit for his 4th save. 'I just wanted to give my team a chance to win.' said Kuroda, 'I got burned on a couple of pitches.
