Gonzalez led the offense for Yardley. He stroked a one-base hit which plated a run in the 1st inning, doubled resulting in a run in the 2nd inning, ripped a solo home run (his 12th of the season) in the 4th inning and singled in the 7th inning. Yardley bats were very productive in the 1st inning when they had 6 runs on 6 hits and the 7th inning when they had 6 runs on 6 hits. The Yardley offense was great, scoring in 7 of the 9 innings. Scott Kazmir(9-5) went 6 innings allowing 5 runs for the victory. Jeff Suppan(4-13) ended up with the loss. He surrendered 6 runs and 6 hits in 2/3 of an inning.
