One run was the difference at Coors Field as the Colorado Scrub NL2 scored 7
runs in the 4th inning and defeated the Binghamton Brawlers 9 to 8.

Colorado scored 7 runs in the bottom of the 4th inning with the help of 8
hits. The big moment was provided by Bill Hall who brought a roar from the
partisan Coors Field fans when he hit a 'grand salami' to the delight of his
teammates (his 8th of the season). Binghamton had a chance in the 9th but
they came up short.

Taylor Buchholz(4-3) allowed 1 run in 5 innings, and picked up the victory.
Dan Wheeler gained credit for his 15th save. Orlando Hernandez(6-6) was
given the loss. He was unable to control the Colorado offense and allowed 6
hits and 4 walks in 3 innings.

Johan Santana dominated striking out 12 Toronto batters at Rogers Centre as
the potent Pinehurst Pin Oaks beat the dreadful Toronto Scrub AL1 by the
count of 8 to 0.

Santana(13-10) was simply too much for the Toronto batters. He allowed only 4
hits and 1 walk in 9 innings. The pitchers took over after the 3rd inning as
neither team was able to score again.

Nate Robertson(4-18) was tagged with the loss. 'Santana took our guys to
school' Ozzie Guillen said. 'Too bad he doesn't pitch for us - it would make
my job a whole lot easier!'
