In a game for the baseball purist, Jake Peavy(19-3) and Orlando Hernandez(6-7)
squared off in a tense pitching duel, mighty Sea Isle SeaGulls finally
emerged victorious over floundering Binghamton Brawlers, 1 to 0.

Sea Isle claimed the early lead in the first inning scoring one runner. That
was all the runs Peavy needed. Binghamton had a chance to come back in the
9th but they came up short.

Taylor Tankersley got the save, his 1st. When questioned about the loss, Bob
Melvin said, 'The fans got to see an exciting game out there this afternoon.
Unfortunately, we couldn't get it done this time. Next time, though, we'll
be the clubhouse with all the smiles.'
