Kenji Johjima had 2 base hits and 2 RBI and Brad Penny blanked Pinehurst
allowing just 2 hits as the Binghamton Brawlers topped the struggling
Pinehurst Pin Oaks by a score of 5 to 0 at Angels Stadium.

Penny(7-15) simply dominated Pinehurst. He was stingy on the mound, allowing
just 2 hits and 3 walks in 9 innings. Penny recorded 11 strikeouts lowering
his ERA to 4.81. Binghamton totaled 12 on the night.

Johan Santana(13-11) was tagged with the loss. Penny was asked about his big
strikeout performance, 'Well, it's a little odd when you rack up these
numbers on the road - instead of cheers and a running tally in the stands,
everything gets real still and quiet. Just strange - but it's nice to be
able to take the crowd out of the game.'
