Hernandez had a good evening at the plate. He hit a bases-empty home run in the 4th inning and lofted a three-run 'big-fly' (his 11th of the season) in the 9th inning. Boston provided plenty of action in the 9th inning when they had 7 runs on 8 hits. Boston simply wore out the Toronto pitching staff, scoring in 6 different innings. Vazquez(14-13) lasted until the end allowing 2 runs for the win. Kyle Lohse(8-13) was the loser. He was unable to control the Boston offense and allowed 10 hits and 2 walks in 5 and 1/3 innings.
