Yardley bats were very productive in the 2nd inning with 4 runs, the 3rd inning scoring 5 runs and the 9th inning when they had 4 runs on 4 hits. Yardley simply wore out the Oakland pitching staff, scoring in 6 different innings. Lackey(17-7) was the winner allowing 1 run for the game. Chad Gaudin(8-20) was the loser. He surrendered 6 runs and 4 hits in 1 and 2/3 innings.
