The key at-bat was by Ryan Garko who silenced McAfee Coliseum as he blasted a two-run home run (his 8th of the season). Yardley out-hit Oakland for the game, 13 hits to 9. Fausto Carmona(15-13) was the winner allowing 1 run in 8 and 1/3 innings. Jamie Moyer(8-20) was the loser. He surrendered 3 runs and 3 hits in 5 and 1/3 innings.
