Jeff Bennett(1-0) finally bested his Philadelphia counterpart, Jamie Moyer(1-1), by the score of 2 to 1. Sunshine State claimed the early lead in the first inning when they tallied 2 runs on 1 hit. That early scoring was all that Bennett needed. Philadelphia had a chance to come back in the 9th but they came up short. Bennett got help from Kevin Gregg who was credited with his 1st save. Moyer absorbed the loss. He allowed 2 runs and 3 hits in 9 innings. 'We didn't get the key hits when we needed them' Charlie Manual said. 'We did what we could, we just didn't pull out the win. Hamilton really 'lit it up' for Sea Isle. He rifled a three-run blast in the 1st inning, singled in the 2nd inning and rifled a three-run blast (his 2nd of the season) in the 5th inning. Sea Isle out-hit Binghamton for the game, 17 hits to 9. The win went to Paul Maholm(2-0) who allowed 5 runs in 7 innings. Jorge Campillo(1-1) was tagged with the loss. 'Hamilton led the way - we just jumped on his back and let him take us,' Maholm said. 'I'm glad I don't have to face him. I'm glad he's on my team.'
