WILD PITCHES- R.Harden

Rich Harden(1-0) and Gil Meche(1-1) treated the Yardley fans to a fine
pitching duel at Yankee Stadium. The Yardley Oaks eventually emerged as
victors over the Detroit 40's by the score of 4 to 0.

Yardley took the lead for keeps in the bottom of the 2nd inning plating an
isolated run using 2 hits. The early run support proved sufficient for
Harden and Yardley. That was all the run support Harden required. Yardley
had 7 hits overall, while Detroit had 4.
