In a great finish the Binghamton Brawlers came back in the top of the ninth
and held on to win over the reeling Colorado Scrub NL 2 by a score of 4 to 2
at Coors Field.

Binghamton had the winning rally in the 9th inning with 3 runs using 2 hits.
Alfredo Amezaga led off and keyed the rally when he doubled. Two outs later
Gabe Kapler came to the plate and drew a walk. Jayson Werth then lofted a
three-run bomb (his 1st of the season). Chad Qualls was perfect in relief
and gained credit for his 1st save.

Ryan Madson(1-0) got the win allowing no runs in 1 and 1/3 innings. Manny
Corpas(1-2) was the losing pitcher in relief. Jerry Manuel was all smiles
after the game, 'To pull a game out in your last at bats, is a beautiful
feeling - and did you see how quiet it got out there? You could have heard a
pin drop when we took the lead. But, hey, that's what makes baseball so
great - as the great sage Yogi Berra says, 'it's not over 'til its over.'
