Kelly Shoppach got his chance to keep things going, but he went down on strikes. Yardley out-hit Toronto for the game, 12 hits to 7. Joe Nathan(1-1) went 2 innings allowing 2 runs for the win. Jon Rauch(1-2) was the losing pitcher in relief. He allowed 2 runs and 3 hits in 2 innings. Yardley now has a record of 8-6. Toronto has a record of 5-11, worst in the division after the loss.
