At Fenway Park, the Boston fans witnessed a great pitcher's duel. Daisuke
Matsuzaka(1-0) finally bested his Minnesota opposite, Cliff Lee(2-2), by the
score of 3 to 1.

Boston tallied 2 runs in the bottom of the 4th inning. The critical plate
appearance was by Adrian Gonzalez who elicited a roar from the hometown fans
when he blasted a two-run home run (his 6th of the season). Minnesota had a
chance to come back in the 9th but they came up short.

Joakim Soria was credited with his 4th save. Lee was charged with the loss.
Ron Gardenhire was clearly disappointed after the game. 'It was a manager's
nightmare out there', he said, 'We should have had this one.'

Randy Winn connected with a 'big fly' and had 2 RBI as the Binghamton Brawlers
defeated the Wall St Millionaires by the score of 2 to 1 at Wrigley
Field.

Binghamton brought 2 runs across the plate in the top of the 2nd inning.
After an out was recorded, Derrek Lee started the attack as he drew a walk.
Winn next to the plate and he popped a two-run clout over the fence (his 3rd
of the season). The early run support proved sufficient for Mike
Pelfrey(1-2) and Binghamton. That was all the run support Pelfrey required.
Neither team managed to score after the 2nd inning.

Chad Qualls recorded the save, his 2nd. John Danks(0-1) was the loser. He
pitched 9 innings giving up 3 hits and 6 walks.
