In a thriller the Minnesota SnowBirds staged a dramatic comeback then held on to win over the Toronto Scrub AL 1 by a score of 5 to 3 at Rogers Centre. Cliff Lee(3-2) had a solid outing for Minnesota. He went 5 and 1/3 innings allowing 7 hits and 2 walks lowering his ERA from 4.68 to 4.26. Minnesota won despite being out-hit by Toronto 9 hits to 4. Lee got help from Mariano Rivera who was credited with his 5th save. Bronson Arroyo(1-3) was tagged with the loss. 'I was a little good, a little bad and a little ugly.' said Lee, 'I was just giving us a chance to win.' Aaron Cook(1-1) got credit for the victory, pitching 8 innings and allowing 4 runs. Jonathan Papelbon earned his 3rd save. Edwin Jackson(1-1) was hit with the loss. He got hit pretty hard, allowing 9 hits and 2 walks in 5 innings. With this win, Detroit has a 12-8 record. They have been 6-4 lately. With the loss, Washington has a record of 3-7 lately, 8-11, worst in the division overall.
